Bottle Feeding Tips for Babies

1. Change the baby's diaper before feeding. This helps to wake your baby for feeding and can sleep peacefully after feeding.
2. Prepare the daily amount of formula your baby early. You can:
Mix the desired amount of formula in advance and put the fridge. So when you are ready to use milk, place in bowl of hot water to remove the cold. Powdered formula prepared may be stored in refrigerator up to 24 hours after mixing.
Pre-measure both dust and water in separate containers (a sealed container for the powder and a bottle for water). Make enough for that the day / night. Then, when ready to feed your baby, mix the two together. This eliminates the need to heat the milk.
3. Use boiled water or bottled water when mixing baby formula. When using boiled water, allow water to return to room temperature before mixing with formula.
4. Never warm formula in the microwave. This can cause milk to be very hot in some areas. Always warm milk, placing the bottle in a bowl or a cup of warm water. Make sure to test the milk on the inside of your wrist to ensure the safety of temperature. Temperature is the perfect formula when you is unable to feel cold or hot.
5. Discard any unused milk an hour after feeding. Bacteria from the baby's saliva begin to multiply quickly when left at room temperature.
6. Make sure to burp your baby frequently during feedings.
If your baby does not spit often wait until your baby stops sucking on the bottle and then burp your baby. Gas bubbles for your baby to think that he / she is full and will stop drinking milk.
Once your baby lets out a burp well, he / she probably will resume eating.
If your baby tends to spit frequently or have cramps, try burping your baby more often, after approximately every half ounce or less.
7. For a newborn premature or sleeping:
Remove blankets and hats. Babies love to sleep when they are cozy and warm. If that does not do the trick, you naked baby.
Rub your baby's back along the spine / her.
Tickle your baby's feet.
Wipe baby's face and chest with a cloth cold and wet.
Hold your baby in your lap with your dominant hand not to support the baby's head, neck and shoulder. Some children tend to sleep when nestled in the arms of mom or dad during meals.
Remember, practice makes perfect.
