Painted pony, skins quite rare
What does he want from us
Why is he talking to my father
All the elders understand him
I can’t here the words exchanging
He’s a tall and handsome man
A different face from foreign lands
Why are all the women crying
And my mother brings me blankets
Why does he now lead two ponies
And why has he held out his hand
