How I can get my hot little bunny?
My vacation stay in my room in a cage. My room has a heater and is now broken tempature in the morning was only 41 degrees. I put a blanket for him in his cage, but its just ate it. Any ideas on how to keep it warm until the radiator is fixed? Thanks!
One thing for both is to borrow or buy a space heater. That temp. is too cold for them. Will the temperature. a backup in the room. Make sure it is one with a safety tip over shut off. Place in the center of the room away from everything. put a table on top of the cage bigger than the cage, then place a blanket over him making sure the blanket is not near the sides of the cage. We had a couple of power outages that left us without heat and exotic species have also rabbits and other animals that need heat. We use heat wrap for the back (big guy) and put them under their cages and it works. Also, if you do not mind some cleaning, put some straw in the cage, is a great insulator and it will make its own nest. Our goat and sheep -0 survive temps in the winter with straw for bedding and will start my goat the barn door open if you close it, he hates being locked up, so cool in his barn nearly full.
