How do dogs know when you have a new toy or treat?
Before you even out of the bag from the store, how is it possible? These last 2 weeks, I brought home a toy bag or 2 on the same .. The dogs sniff and start going crazy! Tail wagging, barking at me to "accelerate" and occasionally a cry of joy. The same treat bags. BTW, only buy toys once a month or so. How do dogs know that the thing in the bag is your new toy? Did your dog do this? I'm very happy about this though! It is almost a year since my youngest son has chewed on anything but their toys.
Most dogs are smart and can smell the new toy. It's like when you go to look for a new car and opens the door for the first time, and the smell of leather in the interior. You can smell the new toy.
